Thankfully I requested more assistance the second day. We got fast pass lane and could ride cars twice. It had over a 90 min line so blessed that understood Autism and waiting in line is difficult. Day one we had to leave a ride half way thru. A plant on the ground and 20 min of patience to get her up.

So as you guys know children on the Autism Spectrum tend to like to do what they want. Safety and boundaries are difficult. I have permanent locks on the doors and nightly put a chain on the garage to make sure she does not exit. I disabled the garage door opener for this reason.
Last night I let her do her nightly play and she loves to play in the garage. I gave her 20 min and went upstairs. As I hollered 20 min later it was time to come up for bed she did not reply. I went to the garage THINKING I would see her. Nope...the door open because I forgot to lock it and she was gone. I ran out to the cul da sack hollering and no sight. About 60 seconds later I hear laughing and running. She was about a block down by the mailboxes and came running back. Laughing like it was funny.
This mom is so thankful she was not much farther. About 4 years ago she escaped the garage and the police brought her home at 6:30 in the morning. I keep thinking we will move past this. Uuggg..
