So as you guys know children on the Autism Spectrum tend to like to do what they want. Safety and boundaries are difficult. I have permanent locks on the doors and nightly put a chain on the garage to make sure she does not exit. I disabled the garage door opener for this reason.
Last night I let her do her nightly play and she loves to play in the garage. I gave her 20 min and went upstairs. As I hollered 20 min later it was time to come up for bed she did not reply. I went to the garage THINKING I would see her. Nope...the door open because I forgot to lock it and she was gone. I ran out to the cul da sack hollering and no sight. About 60 seconds later I hear laughing and running. She was about a block down by the mailboxes and came running back. Laughing like it was funny.
This mom is so thankful she was not much farther. About 4 years ago she escaped the garage and the police brought her home at 6:30 in the morning. I keep thinking we will move past this. Uuggg..

1/2 box Protein pasta of your choice, boil for 13 min or until soft but not mushy. Drain and add 3/4 can tomato sauce the rest filled with V8 juice. (Save the rest for next time) Mix in a dash of salt and about 3/4 cup grated cheese or cut it in small cubes. Mix it all well together in a oven proof pan. Cover and cook at *350 degrees for about 35 min. Cool a little and serve.
